Small town feel. Love the old fashioned style decor. Small , quaint and charming restaurant. This was my second time dining here. Great place to get away from the over the top new style restaurants. No loud music. No flashy over the top high price drinks . The food is served to you cafeteria style. Fresh Country style food and restaurant. The desserts are second to none!!!!! A must have if your sweet tooth is large. I would recommend this place. Older crowds simply love this hidden gem. The younger crowd should take time and visit Cook's.

We did our now annual 1st Day Hike at Hontoon State Park - afterwards we decided to find a local spot for possibly a New Year meal- we saw this place as we were driving- circled back & after a fairly quick wait- we were seated - our server was slow & not super helpful since it was our first time experience- however, the food was fantastic & quite a variety for the vegetables and salad stations - meat or fish options for main courses- my wife tried the beef & I had the Pork Loin with sauercraute - both were excellent- highly recommend this place- decorated quite well for CHRISTmas- outside courtyard was delightful too! Definitely will return

This is the best place to fellowship for senior birthdays! 4 or more in party, the birthday person meal and cake (upon request) is free. The food and service is always great and the service is down home good! There is always something for everyone to enjoy. Also, they are open on Christmas! The pics are from my mom's 88th birthday! This is the second time that she's had her birthday celebrated here. Her birthday party was here last year as well. Since then, there has been several birthdays for seniors from my church held here. Love the restaurant and the staff! Recommended highly, for small business meetings too.

We stopped in for a weekday lunch and found the last parking spot in their lot. Not your typical buffet so if it’s your first time definitely ask questions. We chose the soup and salad and loved the fresh salad bar and Lobster Bisque soup. It’s certainly a popular community staple for its Homestyle cooking and worth a visit.

Incredible place, the food is delicious and the price is super accessible, I really liked the freshness of the food, it is excellent in all the necessary criteria, I could not take a picture of my food before devouring it

My friend and I came here on a Sunday for an early dinner (roughly 4pm). The parking lot was full which was a good sign as we’d never been here before. The restaurant itself used to be a house which only added to the charm of the place. We were quickly greeted and seated with our server, Debbie. She asked if we had been there before and we both said we hadn’t. She explained how it works which was simple- you get one meat, unlimited hot side bar (veggies) and salad bar. That was around $15 per person. Or for $20 you get all the above, plus a drink and a dessert. We decided to go big or go home. I’m not a vegetable fan so I skipped the salad bar. My friend liked it fine. For meats I chose the well done roast beef and he went with the ham. The hot side bar was underwhelming. More vegetables. I was hoping for pasta or possibly rice. The food was amazing and the meat was served in fair portions. Everything tasted homemade. Didn’t even feel like we were at a restaurant- it was like being at grandmas house. Along with bringing your drinks, the server brings the garlic bread which was amazing. They also bring the desserts. Too many to choose from. They make everything in house and with 20 different desserts, it wasn’t easy to pick just one. I went with the brownie and my friend ordered a strawberry parfait. I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth and I almost ate the whole massive brownie!!! We left full and satisfied. This place is a rare find in a world where chain restaurants reign supreme. We drove 45 minutes to eat here and we both will be back.

Our waitress Debbie and the guy at the carving station was great. The other employees not do much. When we came no one greeted us even the hostess and the waitress who were at the host stand. They too worried about the waitress paying her lunch bill. We had never been here before so I asked do we wait to be seated? The waitress seem annoyed and she will help you when she is done. No welcome or I will be with in a moment, no greeting. But our waitress made up for it. Most of the staff walked around with grumpy or annoyed expression. One waitress was giving mean looks to everyone. Our food was good. The ingredients seemed fresh. Overall it was a good dining experience.
